A family-owned, second generation business, One Oak Flooring is proud to serve Calgary and the surrounding area with luxury flooring solutions for residential builds, and now also installs pre-finished hardwood, vinyl, and laminate planks!
Founded as Andrews Flooring in 1988 by Andrzej Pawelek, Andrew moved to Calgary in 1990 for a better quality of life close to the Rocky Mountains. His son Dominic was born a few years later, and started working in the family business at the age of 14. Now known as One OAK (Of A Kind) Flooring the company is succeeded and run by Dominic in Calgary as has a team of 5 flooring contractors and installers who take great pride in their work.
Dominic is known for the European Craftsmanship passed down from his father, and is proud to continue the Pawelek legacy running the family business. Dom has introduced DUSTLESS SYSTEMS that eliminate 90% of dust by having all machines hooked up to a vacuum, adopting a “leave no trace” policy to his job sites, just as he does the back country. Dom lives and breathing flooring on weekdays, while enjoying the Rockies on weekends, and his father Andrew now lives in Revelstoke where he breathes fresh mountain air daily.
