Founded in April of 2010, Infinity Group of Company was created amidst a landscaping industry that was booming hand-in-hand with Calgary’s housing market. Fueled by a record-breaking number new-home builds and infills, the industry was flooded with young companies wanting to reap their share of the market. As is the case when any industry has an excess of opportunities and inexperienced parties participating, the over-all quality of landscaping projects in the city was suffering. Founders Chris Slingerland and Kyle Babiuk found this trend disturbing – and so together, with Chris’s life-long background in the landscaping and carpentry industries and Kyle’s strong business acumen, they identified it as an opportunity to create their own company and bring a sharp focus on quality back to a market with an “on-to-the-next” attitude.
The third member of their managing team, Devon Wolfe, joined Infinity Group of Companies shortly after its inception, bringing with him a background in landscaping and education in Design and Architecture. In order to push for quality, they identified three elements that needed to be applied to every project: Thorough Communication, Exceptional Design and Fine Workmanship. From this idea came their motto; “To create a landscape masterpiece, no compromise can be tolerated”.
The first couple years of Infinity Group of Companies existence were characterized by an unending drive on quality control and attention to detail, resulting in a great deal of growth in a short amount of time propelled almost entirely by word-of-mouth. Focused effort on several acreage and estate home scaled projects per year allowed the company to continue surprising growth and develop relationships that eventually brought it to establishing both a commercial snow removal division and a custom wood creations division, and just recently a partnership with Home Depot’s Deck & Fence installation program. Today, nearing its fifth anniversary, Infinity Group of Companies continues to enforce a vision of quality in all endeavors and is looking forward to a fantastic 2015 season.
